By Frances Cooper

Churches are known to hold and organize a variety of events. All these are done for different purposes and with different aims. Some maybe for money collection and others maybe training on some key life aspects, to understand this, you need to have the event planning template that will guide you on how to plan a church conference. The following are some of the checklists that may help you.

Understand the mission and the goal of the conference. Every event has a distinctive mode of planning different from that of the other. As an event planner, your objective should be to meet the written and non-written goal of the meeting. Understand the theme of the event, doing so will enable you to create a conducive environment for the entire activity.

Have financial estimates for the entire event. The first step towards any plan should be budget estimates. A budget lets you know the amount of money at your disposal. Determine the use of the cash even before spending it. Strive to ensure that time value for money is attained. The budget should give a brief of the marketing material, food, rental and supplies. Consider all these expenses when drafting the final budget.

Develop an expected marketing plan for the church. Depending on the age, gender and sex of audience needed in the conference. If only the congregational members are requited, notices on the various noticeboards would be appropriate. The internet, radio and television would be more appropriate when the audience involves people who may be part of the congregation or not. Have the right information circulated to the correct people in advance.

Develop a schedule of activities that detail the activity to be done, the time to do the activity and the person to do the same. Having a work plan makes supervision easier and also holds people accountable for the actions that they did or did not do. A work plan helps note any abnormal happening that arises and ensures that the solution for the same is timely.

Get a concrete plan on the type of food that congregants and gusts will eat. So. Irrespective of who will be sponsoring the meals, plan the food details in advance. The type of meal you select should support the theme of the event. Having a plan of the items to eat, gives the guests a greater food experience.

Be careful when placing the decoration. Ensure that the symbols, pictures and colors to be used are in line with the conference theme. Thus, to achieve this you need a creative team capable of dressing up the entire event. The way you decorate the place can turn a mediocre event to something worth memories.

Gather relevant materials that will guide you in the planning process. Some of these include the organizational chart with a detailed chain of command. Having a structured planning process streamlines operations and ensures everything is done in an orderly manner. Make the ideal choice.
