How To Handle Jesus In Homeschooling

By Ryan Sanders

The government is gradually getting rid of religion from syllabus. The situation gets more worrying when children are pounded with derogatory words for believing in Christ and creationism. For a parent who wants to bring up a child who follows Christian virtues, teaching Jesus in homeschooling becomes the only option. In this way, you take full control of the character and morals of your child by avoiding unnecessary confusion and virtue deprivation in public schools.

Schooling the children at home comes with numerous advantages. You are in full control of what the child learns and the interactions he has. You have a chance to understand his mannerisms and formation meaning that you will never be shocked by what comes out of your child. Though the curriculum is still controlled, you determine what happens to your children over most of the time.

Learning from home is fun and makes general learning even greater fun. It ceases to become traumatizing for children to deal with cruel teachers, nasty morning rides and other unchecked ills in school. The child develops a positive attitude towards learning and is therefore likely to pursue education further. This raises his prospects in life.

Family remains the most rewarding socialization environment. Children spend most of the time with family members which helps to nurture their bond and strengthen the idea of family life. This is the perfect opportunity to inculcate virtues like respect and love that are the foundation of a family unit. It is your chance to bring up a family that respects the concept of a family.

The schedules in public schooling are determined by the institution and government. What about giving your child a flexible schedule? This is only possible when schooling takes place at home. You have all the time to enhance such talents and gifts as music, arts, athletics, etc. You will train your child to be unique other than be defined by unnecessary competition in school.

The school today is dangerous and laden with ills. It becomes the nursery for introduction to drugs, violence, bullying and other harmful traits. The element of Christianity is totally withdrawn. The home provides an excellent opportunity to shield children from such vices. In fact, you not only teach these values but demonstrate the Christian life you would like the children to emulate.

Christianity is about character other than displaying something different to the public. Your children will cease to live in pretense. You monitor and instill a character of honesty such that it will never shock you when your children act in a particular manner. You instill the values you admire in your child without giving him a chance to copy from classmates, teachers or workers in school.

Faith and belief play a critical role in shaping the character and determining the future of any child. The best way to instill the right values in a child is to take control of the learning process. There is no better way to do that than to school the kid from home. You are sure of what the child is learning and thus will not be shocked by hypocritical behaviors.
