Searching For Registered Holland Lop Bunnies For Sale

By Gary Snyder

Holland lops are rabbit breeds originating from Netherlands that are becoming more popular as show animals or as pets. They are considered the smallest among the lop eared bunnies and come in various colors classified as broken or spotted and solid or with no spots. They must be house somewhere with a wide room space available for them to be active and play.

New rabbit owners are usually recommended to have these as their pets because of their size and temperament. This is the reason why many people are finding registered Holland lop bunnies for sale to buy one. Here are some guides in finding a breeder in your area that is selling them.

Start searching using the internet for breeders that sell them in your area and acquire their contact information. You may also use the local newspapers or yellow pages in searching for one which may have placed advertisements there. Make a list of all those you found and get more information about them in helping you make a choice.

Ask recommendations from your friends and family members if someone they know is selling the breed yo are looking for. They may have purchased one or someone they know did and they could refer them to you. If the ones they recommended are not on your list yet then add them and gather more information on them too.

Make some background research about them including the amount of years they were breeding this kind of rabbits. This would show the experiences and skills they have acquired in doing this for an amount of years. They will not have last longer if they have no idea on the things they are doing.

Check if they are breeding pedigree ones or not though this is not important unless you want to be a breeder yourself. Not having pedigrees are just fine if you just want them as a pet or if you plan to join rabbit show competitions. You can join if the bunny have an ear number permanently tattooed on and providing their birth date and the class they will join.

The breeder must also be willing to spend a day with you to explain everything you need to know about your future pet. They must be willing to offer a guarantee that the rabbits are healthy and tamed well. If they do not want to entertain your question then they probably are selling ones that are sick and not tamed well.

Pet stores usually sell bunnies more expensively when you compare it to the prices the breeders have on their bunnies. They tend also to place male mature bunnies in the same cage together with females of various ages. Breeding could occur which can result in your new pet to die by having babies while still very young.

Ask about the prices and compare the prices of the different breeders you researched and find out the best deal. Though this must not be the only in considering your choice but usually the last factor to be considered. Properly prepare the needs of your pet before purchasing them.
