Obvious you if you do not have a chimney and you do not even bother on getting one, then this article is not for you. To start off you might be wondering how you can get your chimney clean and why in the world you should do it. For some they might think that they do no really need to clean it. After all it kind of looks like and acts like a car exhaust and nobody really cleans the insides. But you really need to get them cleaned

Aside from making sure that Santa Claus will not come into the house dirty and full of soot, you also need to make sure your house will not burn down. You might be shocked what the house might catch fire but the next paragraph will show you just why.

Obviously it goes up because there is no smoke that goes down. Once it does go up, the interior part of the smokestack get smeared with creosote and soot. Having too much creosote will set the smokestack ablaze.

Getting the chimney cleaned could be a hard thing to do. There are a lot of things that you need to clean it. You are going to need the following items. A ladder to climb up the roof. A super long brush so that you can reach the deeper parts of the inner part of the chimney. A wire brush, for the tough sides that need cleaning. A broom to sweep the gunk off. A dustpan to store the dirt and soot in. A mask to make sure you do not get to inhale these harmful stuffs when they get into the air. Last but not the least, gloves, for the preservation of the cleanliness of your hands.

If you have already acquired those things mentioned above, then it is time to know how the process is done. The first step is to climb up the top of the chimney. Once you get that done, you should start brushing from the top going all the way to the bottom. After that, go back inside and sweep the dirt that fell on the fireplace.
