At one point he explains a time he had ordered for textbooks worth around eight hundred thousand dollars that he had to take back to suppliers so that he could invest in technology.
It is because of his open mindedness and integrity that made him get that job. However there were instances where people questioned his judgment. One instance was when he elected Fredrick Hill to become the new principal of the school. At that moment Hill had just been fired from his previous school thus making people question if he was the right person for the principal job.
He was also under criticism after hiring the uncle to his wife and when asked to state what happened he stated that it was merely a recommendation. That was during the speech however in an interview he ended up contradicting himself by saying he was actually hoping he got hired. He undermined the free hiring process that should be in any company.
You have to make the right decisions depending on what your students what. Do not take a risk with random companies instead do your research and know how they work. These are some lessons Philip has taught leaders in the same kind of work. Give each company benefit of doubt and listen to the kind of offers they have.
