Please Monitor The Texas Congressional Race

By Robert Roberts

Man began in hunter gatherer societies. The male gender played a dominant role in this grouping as the physical aspects that were required to tackle beasts that were hunted. Homesteads and villages were defended by them. The capture of game and domestication of wild animals were also done the males in this community. During those early times a leader always emerged. Now in modern times leaders are chosen by election. Be a leader and join the Texas congressional race.

Protection form wild beasts brought humans together. This was learned from predators than came in packs that killed solitary individuals. A conclusion was made that the only way to counter this was create own packs, human packs. This was the beginning of villages and society. Individuals joined together in building barriers to ward off deadly animals.

These tribes congregated to become communities and progressed into much larger ones known as cities. As activities became numerous and more difficult, synchronization became apparent to make production more efficient. Society became political units with one person or more persons coordinating the populace actions. This is the beginnings of politics.

The tribal community began to transform as a perfect weapon to defend hearth and home. Fences were erected surrounding villages to protect it against raiders who intention was to loot villages of food and other resources. These tribal communities soon associated with each other to form larger units to counter other communities that also banded together to form bigger units.

As history will tell us, most leaders were kings or its equivalent, like emirs and emperors. Absolute power was in their hands and this power was handed down from generation to generation by blood kinship usually bestowed to the eldest son. Conflicts arose because of this so called right of succession especially when the successor is a weakling.

All over the world, ancient civilization had kings. The pharaohs were the overlords of their land as were the kings of Babylon and Persia. Kings were very popular during the middle ages and constantly made wars against each other for whatever reason. The land of Europe were always ravaged by war since time immemorial as people pledge allegiance to the kings they serve.

This held true until the eighteenth century when the famous French corporal waged war over Europe espousing new ideas about governance. This resulted from the revolution that saw the kings of nations being deposed. Other countries still have a monarchy but it is merely symbolic. Actual governance is done the elected parliament members.

Concurrent with the time of revolutionary fervor, one country far away from the other across the oceans was undergoing an upheaval of its own. This cacophony of individual states decided to join together as one and seceded from the mother country. The thirteen colonies agreed to appoint the leaders from the ordinary citizenry through elections. The birth of this nation was also the birth of democracy.

The success and failure depends on who is at the helm. Leaders in a democracy are chosen by the people by a process known as election. A great many leaders have been elected that have made great strides for the nations they led. A glaring example of the effectiveness of this system is the most powerful nation on earth.
