What Teachers Should Know About Early Childhood Development Astoria

By Deborah Mitchell

Ninety percent of the brain has developed in the first five years of a child's life. This is something that will stand out at a later stage should parents and teachers or carers have taken advantage of the early years. It is vital to know how to stimulate the brain during early childhood development Astoria.

For example, if they were neglected and abandoned, they will suffer from trauma later on, depending on the severity of this. They may suffer from anxiety or depression. Sometimes, they will struggle with relationships, suffering from panic attacks and the thought patterns will go back to that time when they were constantly left alone.

It can include arts and crafts and other creative activities, such as dancing and listening to music. They will be exposed to different textures. These things stimulate the senses. The other side of the brain is just as important. Children will do activities, such as puzzles and games which are more logical.

It has been proven that kids who have the advantage of this type of stimulation will improve their chances of success later on in life. This will include emotional attributes as well. During the first years, they should be aware of a mother and their comfort and affection. This will help them to be more confident of themselves and loving. It will increase the bond and they will have less problems with relationships.

This is where preschool is a good idea. A lot of parents don't believe in sending a toddler to a daycare center or to preschool a little later. However, there is always something that the child can get out of the process. There is no way that they will lose the bond they have with their child. However, in order to get the most out of this time, they will need to connect with a professional or teacher.

One will see the difference between a child who has not received the support from a poverty stricken background and one which has not been affected and has the support of family. People realize the need for programs and this is why there are more sponsors and supportive programs which are able to assist.

When someone gets the best start in life and is able to get through these years in the most positive way possible, they will find that it is possible to a lot further in terms of decisions and choices that need to be made in their adult lives. This can come in the form of personal relationships which can cause complications as well as work related situations.

These days, teachers and carers know a lot more about the early childhood development phase. There are certain factors that are very basic and will show up in poverty stricken areas, such as third world countries. It can include support for nutrition. Without this kids will grow up without knowledge of health and sanitation. It can be passed on to the next generation. The protection of children is big these days, and something that all parents need to be aware of, along with the basic education which parents should have in stimulating their kids, by doing basic activities with them.
