Making Use Of Tanning Spray At The Salon

By Haywood Hunter

Artificial tans are widely used by people from all parts of the world. The products that give fake tans, such as tanning spray formulas, can be purchased to use in one's own capacity, or can be applied at professional salons. With a bit of practice, applying the product at home can be successfully done, however, many opt to rather let a skilled person do it for them. Tanning spray booths at a salon almost always achieve perfect results.

A wide variety of products, including tanning spray, have been developed to produce a fake tan. They can be used instead of getting a natural tan from the sun, because this has been proven as harmful to the skin, or they are used instead of sun lamps or beds, because these have also been shown to be just as harmful as the sun. In the past, fake tans really did look rather fake, but with the latest improvements in the products, they now actually create a wonderful and natural-looking tan.

Most salons will use tanning spray products for their customers. They produce the best results, especially when they are in the hands of skilled professionals who know how to use them. The staff of a salon also advise their customers how to help the self-tan procedure in order to ensure a beautiful tan.

The self-tan product at a salon is usually sprayed onto the customer's body, under circumstances that are similar to a shower. The tanning spray will come out of a nozzle which has various settings. These settings help to achieve different intensities of tans. The customer can therefore decide upon a light or dark tan.

It is recommended that you find out all about the process before starting, as nobody will be accompanying you. The tanning spray product will be better applied if you follow a few guidelines. Remember that you may also need a few applications for a darker tan. For a light tan, usually one application is sufficient.

There are a few things that you can do to help the tanning spray process. The first is to remove all dead skin cells and dirt from the area to be tanned. A good sponge, or an exfoliating product is recommended. You can also apply moisturizer before you go to the salon (about an hour beforehand). A moisturizer will make your skin slightly sticky, which will help with the procedure. Afterward, however, find out if there is a lotion that you can buy to help maintain your tan, or find out which moisturizers can be used.

Prepare to be naked when you enter the tanning spray shower. The products used leave marks on material that cannot be washed out, therefore, bare is best. Salon tans are therefore also best for full body tans. There could also be problem with the palms of the hands, as these can come out with an orange appearance. Some people wear plastic disposable gloves to avoid this circumstance during tanning spray.

An excess amount of tanning spray can be gently rubbed off when the procedure has been completed. Ask staff at the salon about your feet, as these can be problem areas with self-tan products, as they can end up quite darkly tanned. In general, a salon will be able to provide you with a very natural-looking tan that will last for reasonable length of time.
